Why doesn't every single human know how to catch a baby?
Send this to every conscious woman who could change the world starting a birth!
You’ve seen it. Not just once—but over and over again. Birth treated like a risk to be managed, not a process to be honoured. Women spoken about in third person while lying in the bed. Reduced to numbers, protocols, and consent forms that weren’t really choices. You’ve watched as their instincts were dismissed. You’ve seen tears brushed aside with clinical language. And maybe worst of all—you’ve seen the trauma that follows being minimised or explained away, like it’s just part of the package.
And yet, something in you always whispered, this isn’t right.
You might not have had the words for it. But you’ve felt it. That tightness in your chest, that gut-level knowing. Sometimes it’s grief, sometimes it’s rage, sometimes it’s just a deep ache you can’t explain. You may have watched someone you love experience a birth that changed them, but not in the way it should have. Or maybe it was your own. And no matter how much time passes, you can’t seem to shake the sense that something sacred is being bulldozed while everyone pretends it's fine.
You’re not imagining it.
You’re not too sensitive.
And you’re definitely not alone.
I said it all in Born in Fear, the blog that got many of you right in the chest, and when I did, many of you messaged me or left comments saying the same thing: “That’s how I’ve always felt. I just didn’t know anyone else saw it too.”
But here’s the thing. Recognition is only the first step. Reading that blog was a remembering. A reawakening. But now what? What do you do with that awareness? How do you stop watching the harm and start becoming part of the healing?
The truth is: we don’t fix birth by demanding the system change.
We fix birth by remembering that we are the system now.
Women like you who are ready to do this differently. Who want to learn how to support birth in a way that’s lawful, emotionally intelligent, and rooted in what actually matters.
You don’t need a midwifery degree.
You don’t need to be perfect or fully healed.
You just need to say yes to what you already know in your bones:
Birth is not a medical event, women are not machines, and you are not here to watch this happen anymore.
Why doesn’t every single person know how to catch a baby?
There is a new world being built. Quietly, steadily, woman by woman. And it doesn’t look like a rebellion or a protest. It looks like remembrance. It looks like a woman who knows how to hold another woman through the most powerful moment of her life—not with fear, but with presence. Not with control, but with calm.
We’re leaving behind the idea that birth belongs to medicine.
We’re leaving behind the belief that someone else knows better.
We’re leaving behind the systems that treat women like risks.
Because the truth is: birth is not medical. It’s biological, it’s relational and it’s ancient. And it was never meant to be reserved for professionals in latex gloves.
Why don’t we all know how to catch a baby?
Why do we fear something every single human has passed through?
Why have we normalised trauma, pain, and emergency in a process designed to work?
It’s not your fault if you don’t know, we weren’t taught. We were taught to hand it over, to be good and to comply. But we can choose differently now.
You don’t need to become anti-medical to do this work. You just need to become pro-truth. You can learn how to stop bleeding without pharmaceutical drugs, you can learn the emotional and energetic root causes of so-called complications. You can learn how to enter a birth space and support a woman to stay in the frequency she needs to birth in love—not in fear.
This isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing less, but doing it from a place of deep understanding and grounded confidence. It’s about becoming the calm in the room, the mirror—the reminder. The one who doesn’t flinch, doesn’t fix, and doesn’t need to be the expert—because she knows the woman is already whole.
So what do you do with all of this?
What do you do with the part of you that sees through the system but doesn’t want to live in resistance?
What do you do with the call to support women, when you’ve never seen it modelled in a way that felt whole, lawful, and emotionally clean? Where do you go when you want to work in birth—not to fix women, but to walk beside them with clarity and truth?
That’s where When Push Comes to Shove comes in.
We’re not just a doula training. We’re a decentralised maternity structure made by women, for women. We support women inside the system and far outside it. We don’t push dogma, and we don’t shame medical choices. We meet women where they are—and we train you to do the same.
Here’s why this is the only training of its kind—and why it works:
1. It’s built on truth, not performance.
We’re not here to give you a script or a checklist. We’re here to help you understand how birth actually works when it’s undisturbed—and why it goes wrong when it’s not. We teach birth physiology, yes. But we also teach psychology, trauma, law, emotional regulation, and the real-world dynamics that affect birth far more than textbooks ever will.
2. It includes your healing, not just your learning.
We don’t separate you from the work. You’ll be guided through your own inner process so you can show up in birth spaces without projecting, rescuing, or leaking. This isn’t therapy. It’s embodiment. Because the best doulas aren’t just trained—they’re anchored. And that anchoring starts with you.
3. It’s decentralised—and it works.
We’re the only model like this in the world. No rigid organisation. No one-size-fits-all politics. Just a growing international movement of women trained to support birth on their terms. We’re active in over 10 countries, and our students have a 77% homebirth rate. Not because we force anything, but because truth works.
4. It’s legally aware, emotionally intelligent, and deeply practical.
You’ll come away knowing how to support a woman’s rights, how to speak to professionals when needed, and how to stay grounded in even the most intense moments. You’ll also know how to protect your own energy so you don’t burn out or get swept up in systems you left behind.
5. It creates real, embodied change, not just certificates.
This isn’t about qualifying and moving on. This is about becoming someone who walks into a room and changes the field without saying a word. Someone who brings presence, not pressure. Someone who walks the talk—not for applause, but because it’s who she is now.
If this is landing for you, here’s what the in-person training looks like.
We’ll be gathering in Buckinghamshire from 9–12 June 2025. Four immersive days where you’ll be held, seen, and stretched—in the best possible way. This is the start of a new path. And it doesn’t end when the training does.
You’ll leave with lifetime access to our full online course. That means six modules covering everything from the foundations of physiological birth, to understanding power dynamics, trauma-informed care, nutrition, legal rights, and the emotional and energetic layers no one else is talking about. You’ll also be guided through five mentored births before becoming fully certified.
This isn’t a one-size-fits-all programme. It’s intimate, decentralised, and built around real women, so you won’t be lost in a sea of faces. You’ll be known. And you’ll be supported, long after the training ends.
The full price of the course is normally £1,599, but for a limited time, we’re offering a flash sale price of £1,200. That includes in-person training, full online access, mentorship, certification, and a few extra surprises to keep you grounded along the way.
There are only 10 places available for this cohort. And once they’re gone, they’re gone.
You can pay in full or in instalments using clearpay.
