You can journal about abundance. You can set intentions, write affirmations, and stay focused on your vision board. You can even start to receive money, and still, somehow, it slips through your fingers. You freeze, procrastinate and overspend or undercharge. And no matter how much you think you’ve healed, you end up back in the same loop. The tight chest. The dread before opening your banking app, the silent panic before a bill is due.

It’s not that you don’t want more. It’s that some part of you doesn’t feel safe with more. And if your body doesn’t feel safe, it will quietly reject, sabotage, or block every chance to expand, but because your nervous system believes it’s protecting you. From judgment, conflict, pressure or failure. From being seen and still not being good enough.

Tonight inside Awakened Self Healers, we’re going to explore this live on zoom. Because what most people call a money problem is actually a safety pattern. And you can’t fix that with strategies. You have to begin with the body, the field. The part of you that’s been braced for impact since long before you ever earned a paycheque.

Your Body Tags Money as a Threat

When most people think about money blocks, they imagine fear of not having enough. But for many, the deeper fear is what happens if they have it.

More money means more pressure, visibility and responsibility. It means being seen in a new way, standing out, possibly being judged or misunderstood. For some, it even means the risk of being abandoned, copied, envied, or attacked.

And so while your conscious mind says “I want abundance,” your nervous system quietly whispers, “It’s not safe.” It’s safer to stay small. Safer to earn just enough. Safer to delay that launch, undersell your work, or avoid looking at your finances altogether because the body is associating money with danger.

If you grew up around conflict, shame, secrecy, or unpredictability around money, then money is not neutral for you. It’s charged. It carries stories, rules, memories and unspoken fears. So your system adapts. It finds ways to survive without more, because it doesn’t trust what more might bring.

This Isn’t Self-Sabotage. It’s Protection.

What looks like procrastination is often your nervous system trying to shield you from exposure. What looks like chronic under-earning might be an unconscious strategy to avoid judgment, responsibility or the risk of being seen as greedy, showy or selfish. What looks like a lack of discipline could actually be an internal loyalty to struggle, because ease was never modelled as safe.

You’re following a script your body memorised long before you had language for it. Some people chase money because they think it will bring them love. Others reject it because they think it will bring them pain. Either way, the system is still in reaction, still trying to manage a wound. Until that wound is acknowledged and met with safety, the pattern continues.

You don’t need to fight it. You need to understand it.

Safety First. Then Expansion.

You don’t regulate your way into millions overnight. But you do start to create the internal conditions that allow more to come in without triggering shutdown, guilt, or sabotage. This is why nervous system work matters because it’s the only thing that can shift your actual capacity to receive.

When your body feels safe, money doesn’t feel like pressure. It doesn’t feel like something you have to chase, hoard, or fear losing. It becomes part of a regulated flow, something that comes in and stays because there’s nothing inside of you pushing it away.

This is what we’re doing inside Awakened Self Healers. Not just talking about money wounds, but feeling them in real time. Mapping where they live in your body. Naming the beliefs they’ve built. And gently, without force, beginning to create safety, coherence and a new signal.
